Admission Information

Where possible, you will be required to complete the Patient Admission Forms provided by your surgeon and post them to the hospital prior to your admission. This will enable us to enter your details in advance and minimise any delays for you on arrival.

We will contact you 24-48 hours before admission to tell you what time to come to the hospital, what time to stop eating and drinking, and what payments you may need to make at the time of admission (if any).

If you would like to visit the hospital beforehand, please call (02) 9932 6600 to arrange a tour of the hospital.

On the Day of Admission:

  • Bring your x-rays and pathology results to the hospital
  • Bring all your current medication to the hospital with you including eye drops and natural therapies
  • Bring your Pension Card, Medicare Card, Health Fund or DVA Card with you
  • If you are staying overnight, bring your toiletries with you
  • Do wear comfortable clothes, including comfortable shoes
  • Do not wear any make-up if you are having a procedure on your face, neck, eyes or ears

Valuables

For security purposes, valuable items and large amounts of cash should not be brought to the hospital. If you have any questions or concerns regarding these items, please speak to the Nurse Unit Manager.

Please Note: The hospital cannot accept responsibility for the loss of, or damage to, any property you choose to keep at your bedside. Do not forget to collect your personal effects before you leave.
